School Campus
Set amidst lush green surroundings away from the hustle and bustle of
the city life and in pollution free environment, Saffron City School,
Fatehgarh Sahib was established at the dawn of the new millennium. It was
a long cherished dream of its patron S. Karam Singh, Chairman who wished
to make available career opportunities to the children of this area and
make them useful citizens of the society.
School Segments
So as to give individual attention and easy access, the school is
divided into four segments. Each segment has its own coordinator or
supervisory head, who supervises the smooth running of her classes.

Primary (Class Toddlers to Class II)
Toddlers, Beginners, Movers, Class I & Class II. This segment comprises of
children from the age group of 2.5 to 7 years. The method of teaching is
informal and activity based. It is a single teacher class with a low
teacher : student ratio, the students are able to get individual and
personal attention.

Middle (Class III to Class V)
In this segment, there is concorde between academics and activities. The
students are encouraged and motivated to take part in various activities
so as to hone their skills and enhance their confidence.

Senior (Class VI to Class X)
In this segment, the students are taken beyond their academics in all
aspects of their formal and non formal learning. Teaching goes beyond the
classroom, even if students have to be taken to visit bio-gas plant or an
industrial unit: whether they watch Julius Caesar on the DVD or make
projects related to their syllabus.

Senior Secondary (Class XI/ XII)
The senior secondary segment have their eyes set beyond the school,
therefore their focus is wider and encompasses more than the school
syllabi. The students have a choice of Medical, Non-Medical and Commerce
with experienced and capable teachers to guide them in all aspects of
academics within and beyond the school.
Library
The school boasts of a well equipped library with abundance of fiction
and reference books. The library is the focal point for knowledge seekers
and therefore very crucial to any good institution. Various magazines on
current topics, CBSE curricullum, Board and Pre-Board examination are
available.
Laboratories
The school has independent laboratories for physics, Chemistry and
Biology. It also has a Mathematics and Social Studies room. The
Mathematics Laboratory is to inculcate interest and co-relate abstract
concepts in Maths with life related situations.
There are separate Computer Laboratories for the Junior and Senior
sections of the school with multimedia facilities and networking.
Medical & health Facilities
The school has a comprehensive health package for the students. There
is a registered medical practitioner available within the school during
school hours. The students undergo periodic health check up and this
includes:
